Game #2
Starting Pitchers
Boston: Mel Parnell
St. Louis: Cliff Fannin

Browns third baseman Bob Dillinger led off the game with a single then scored on triple by Jerry Priddy. Priddy scored on long fly ball to left field off the bat of Whitey Platt. Dillinger and Priddy teamed up again in the Third Inning when Dillinger again singled and Priddy whacked a 2-out home run into the stands to stretch the Browns lead to 4-0. St. Louis starting pitcher Cliff Fannin had a rough Fifth Inning when he gave up three straight walks then a single to Stan Spence to surrender three runs and let the Red Sox back in the game at 4-3. Fannin helped himself in the St. Louis half of the Fifth Inning when he singled and scored on an Al Barilla double to push the Browns lead to 5-3. Fannin hushed the Red Sox bats the rest of the game while the Browns bats had their way with Boston relievers to deliver a win to St. Louis, 10-3.
