A fairly small thing like the electricity going out affects an awful lot.

How do you affect other people?  
Are you rude to a person?  
Do you cut in front of someone while you're driving?  
Do you frown and grunt when your spouse talks to you - or do you smile, let the other guy go ahead of you, respond in a positive way to a comment or question?
Kindness, smiles, and joy can go a long way in not only making your day pleasant but also someone else's.
