Alec Guinness does play eight different roles in this film (watch to see if you can find him as all 8!), but for me it is the lead, Dennis Price who makes the movie. This was such a joy to watch and the actin all around is so superb, you will be clad you sat down to watch what happens to Louis and the D'Ascoyne family.

A cast of Peter O'Toole, Sam Neil, Bryan Brown and lead Jeremy Northam come through like champions in this warm, tender, charming, funny and moving film.
Reincarnation is a large part of the movie - but it is not what the film is really about.
This film does what all good art should do - imitate life.

Cary Grant and Irene Dunne.
You'll think this movie will be something it usually would be, but then it soon is not.
What it is, is quite marvelous and moving. I'm still thinking about this movie...
(Cary Grant was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in the film)

An amazing movie that grows on you as it goes along - as you learn more of what the good professor is up to. Professor Smith is indeed up to something.
Leslie Howard rules in this clever, tight and interestingly deep film.

Mike Rowe tackles - or valiantly tries to - jobs that most of us have never heard of and would never do...and certainly would never volunteer for.
Mike does. God bless him.
One of the all-time favorites.

Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy.
The Big City.
Modernization in the workforce.
A reluctant love affair.
What's not to like.

Jimmy Stewart and Jane Wyman star in this wonderful movie.
Reviewers on Neflix called this a hidden gem - and it is.
If you like this type of a movie - you know who you are - you will like this one.

The best-ever television show of it's kind. It is the only television show of it's kind...
There have been some more recent series produced that used the same name, but this one is light years better than any of those.
If you haven't ever watched any of these episodes, perhaps you have been living in "the twilight zone".

An utterly fascinating documentary.
My wife and I marveled at the locations they rode through, the pure struggle of the journey, the diligence of the team, the steadfast friendship of the two main riders (although the entire team was heart-stitched together by journey's end) and the wonderous people they met along the way.
Do not miss this one.

It's strange to call this a "comic adventure", but since this movie treats this event mostly light-heartedly and sweetly, I guess it works as a description.
A fun movie to watch, the characters are engaging enough.
The movie feels more like a grab-and-dash flick than a telling of a rather incredible event that is a rather profound event, at that.
