More than crime novels, more than contemporary detective noir, the books of the Elvis Cole series and the Joe Pike series stretch and spread over all genres and melt you into the lives of these remarkable men. Elvis and Joe would do what they do even if there were not books written about them - that's just who they are. Spend some time and visit with them. My money is on the fact you will then want to get to know them.

Mr. Crais is the one who writes these novels.
