Wayward Shopping Carts

Wandering around today, out and about with my wonderful wife doing errands and shopping a bit. I notice a disproportionate number of shopping carts parked at various, random spots in shopping center parking lots remarkably far and distant from their owning stores and establishments.
It’s amazing really. 

Maybe the carts are actually self-propelled and they move around when none of us are looking, trying to make an escape into the suburbs for a more peaceful life or to another store in hopes for a career change and a boost in pay and benefits. Maybe they inch along slowly enough that their overall movements are not noticed by us fast-moving, distractedly too busy bi-pedal humanoids. 

I have the solution to the this wandering shopping cart problem - Shopping Cart Lo-Jacks. Once a cart travels too far away from it’s home store, the lo-jack is triggered, the wobbly wheels seize up and the cart becomes motionless. That’s brilliant, I tell you. 

That way if any carts wish to travel further than their assigned free zone, they would need the assistance of a human counterpart who would have to hike the cart over his/her shoulder and march it rather obviously to other faraway portions of the parking lots (This means you).
