Top 3 Albums Added to My iPod In 2017

3. In A Silent Way (1969) - Miles Davis
This work for is astounding.
I like most of Miles Davis work, some of his music more than some of his other music, depending on the season of his career. This album is mind-blower in that for an artist that never cared about anything but the music he wanted to make, this goes places even further off shore - and still remains completely relatable. 
Someone described this album as, "the first ambient" record.  But Miles Davis is a jazz master.
...yes, that describes it.

2.  Sparkle (1997) - Sara Jahn
This album was amazing when it was released. It is amazing now. 
A victim of over-play in my car on cassette back then, the CD then sat in my zip case for how many years before I discovered it in there this last June?
If you do some research you will find universal acclaim from fans for this album and Ms. Jahn (the professional reviewers were for some reason "mixed" over this). She has not produced any further music. All of us hope she one day does. If she chooses to let everything be, we are thankful she has given us a chance to enjoy this collection and her effort.

1.  The Other Side of Abbey Road ( 1970) - George Benson
A cover of the Beatles album (though not the entire album), this one made my year in music.
Mr. Benson loves these songs and that is clearly heard throughout. One your mind pairs the Beatles and George Benson and thinks that may be a good idea, you will discover your mind has not gone astray but is certainly correct.
Each time I play this album I play it all the way through and I always catch myself staring off into space enjoying it.
